Of Nexus 5, career and Student loans

Chapter 4: Google Nexus 4/5

Its not that the galaxy y was less loved or treated with violence. But as it always happens, love grows old enough to cease becoming special and more of a responsiblity. With that in mind, i am reflashing my dear old galaxy y. Google Nexus 5, what a beauty you are. People say that you and me will last for more than 2 years with the figures and charm you possess. But if i get my hands on you, ill make you last so much longer. Ill buy you the best apps, the precious updates just tell me that you will never make me wonder why i got you in the first place. Nexus 4? Sorry... I know you are good, you are smart, you are lovely, you have that spunk, its just that you and me both know that you will get old in a year.

Chapter 0: Me

I go by the alias Neo, working in an MNC, a B.Tech grad from a reputed college (nothing else other than that to boast off), a decent son, and with numerous intimacy issues. My colleagues call me a dreamer, so did my SWOT analysis report. I love football, supporting Liverpool FC. Seeing the blogpost divided into chapters you can guess that I am a Tarantino fan, thereby into movies, music etc. And I love squeezing the best out of everything i got.

Chapter 3: The flickers of Galaxy Y

Waking up at noon only to see that your ever so loyal friend, here it's my Galaxy Y, was flickering unable to put up with those audacious task i used to make it do. After watching a brilliant Suarez against Norwich late the previous day, I sure was in a hell of a mood. Well that was when i decided to keep all the monotonous routine aside and start changing the way days went by. Coming back to galaxy y, the local vendor said it might cost me a bit more to get it back working again. What else, that quickly started things in motion.

Chapter 2: The student loan

The lazy ass i am, i could have taken care of my riches and made size-able strides in satisfying that ever hungry loan bank account. In the meantime settling in a place like Bangalore, did sound a better engagement than worrying about the finances of the loan. Though its never too late as they say, I wish I could have taken care of some payback when i had the real deal.
Again, it's manage-able when you have a lot of cost-cutting, start-saving deals you open yourself upto, but the impending disaster will be to become complacent once again. Anyway, what happened to the inner voice that is so against consumerism?

Chapter 1: My electroencephalograph

(background chorus) MEs- Buy it, do it, get it, its your life, make it large (cheering, shouting, whistling)

me- hmm... it will be 'wowsome' to have a nexus 5 in hand.

pause

me- Ohh... what about the savings? the loans? the responsiblities? lets just give it sometime...in the meanwhie take constructive strides towards your career that will definitely help you in long term.. and then buy 10 Nexus 5s and the world is yours.

pause

me- Who would want to wait that long? Will i be actually saving anything? or is it just that i am delaying my little fantasies just for self satisfaction of pointless meagre spendings...

Not to Promised Land... Again..

It's December already and there is a lot of buzz among fellow NITRians batch 2013 regarding the 'Convocations'. Planned days in advance are the tickets to the 'promised land' or the 'alma matter', finally just a month to go, the wait is getting irresistible each day. Of incredible hang outs to bunked classes, from rebellion to surrender, people have lived their own lives, measured by the emotions they went through. Cutting the crap, I am not going to my college convocations. period.

The random guy reading this, yes you, have no reason to continue reading this tale of thousand regrets which in no way be any different from all those self pity melodramatic books you have read.

1) Can't face half the friends I had in college.
2) Don't want to enact being someone else after getting my freedom, my new life.

Have been warned by seniors not to miss such an important trip.
(Even I realise that so) Will get to see many of my friends one last time.
It's Convocations. And nothing can beat that.

Calling it running away from the past or whatever but I know I can't go back to that promised land ever. Including pages from pre historic disasters is what i wanted to do. But in reality, they are better left alone.

A tribute to Miss America 2013

Racist slurs are being hauled at people who have defied the odds and have risen from among the "elite" eligible candidates. Some people vent out their frustration while others by the fear of law decide to condemn it (there are always the third kind of people like me). So Racism was declared to be a blot on humanity.

Lets take a quick tour of history and popular science to dig deep on what racism is actually like.
We have a history that dates back to lets say may be 10,000 B.C. In that span of 12,000 years we have a recorded and interpreted history of 2000 years. We have seen the birth of the Christianity, the Islam, the Crusades, the colonial period and finally the modern era. Unluckily the white skinned people(i am being a racist here) were more adaptable to changes while the "underprivileged" decided to stay rigid and follow the path that their ancestors had jotted down for them. Half the world was colonized and the other half was explained that they were being colonized. So the dominance of the white skinned race over the world, marks the birth of racism.

 (Present Scenario)
Suddenly the white people decided that it was "bad" to call someone black or brown. The United Nations (which was formed by the white people) backed it up too. In the meantime, the colored people were beginning to get independence (and of course busy making kids) they realized that it was bad to call them black or brown because the white people said so.They were quick with their "puppy dog eyes" to get some attention and thus defined Racism on a global scale. So the bottom line is "Racism is a crime started by the white people, for them to later condemn it." So where do the colored people stand in the entire scenario? Nodding their head to what the white people say.

(Alternate History)
Lets say that in some parallel universe things happened the other way round (I am a big fan of popular science and i love dealing everything with probability). Right now in a universe close by we might have the exact scenario where the colored people have dominated the world (with their population). According to a world ruled by them the color of their skin denotes the mother earth, the color of earth and they being the true descendents of a higher power. What would they call the white people they have dominated? "Pale", "lifeless" or may be "color-less" and wouldn't they be right to do so?Would they be called Racist? Yes i think so.

So coming to my point  which is "some-crazy-relativistic-racism" theory, there is nothing called Racism in the absolute world. Its you who should stand for your cause rather than making laws on that. Be proud to be blue-black-white-purple or whatever you are. For those who haul racist slurs at you, they do that out of compulsion, denial of not being able to achieve what you did. Instead of "saying no to Racism", embrace it "gracefully".

You'll never walk alone

Because we Liverpool fans both dreamers, living in a glorious past and optimists about a glorious future, we will always have our little obsessions, our little fantasies after all, this is football and anything could happen.
You'll never walk alone.

A night in Alaska

Staring at a starry sky i felt a breeze cold enough to brace yourself for more. A moment was what i felt. The irony was that the moment had numerous moments inside them all entwined and weary. And then i learned to be still.

The moment when the sad melody touches you alone in a crowd.
The moment you felt left at the end on a promised trip to fairy land.
The moment you accept defeat.
The moment you land in a limbo with an eternity to forget and nothing to look forward in the future.
The moment of those people who have lost themselves somewhere in the present.
The walk back on a lonely road just after you have lost someone.
The moment of heavenly wisdom.
The moment of lifelike dreams and hazy reality.

The moment you take the deepest breath.
I wait someday to just walk on by, not look over my shoulder and keep my head up high. Even when the chips are down i just want to look back and smile.
